Endowment Plan

Plan Overview

Among the plans NRB Islamic Life Insurance PLC offers for people's financial wellbeing and security, the Islamic Endowment Plan with profit is one of the most prominent. It is very popular as a means of assured financial support and family security. Because the full sum assured is paid with profit at maturity, the policyholder receives a large lump sum, which can be used to carry out any plan they have. Premiums paid qualify for income tax rebate. The claim amount is also free of income tax.

Features & Benefits

Supplementary cover: For a small additional premium, this plan can include accidental death cover (DIAB) and disability and accidental death cover (PDAB) as supplementary cover.

Policy term: 10, 15 and 20 years.

Minimum sum assured: BDT 30,000.

Premium payment mode: Yearly, half-yearly and quarterly.

Terms & Conditions

Maturity benefit: The full sum assured is paid with profit at maturity.

Death benefit: If the policyholder dies before the policy matures, the full sum assured is paid to the nominee with the profit earned.

Surrender and paid-up: The policy can be surrendered or made paid-up after premiums have been paid for at least 2 years and that period has passed. No further premium is payable after the policy becomes paid-up.

Age: The minimum entry age under this plan is 20 years and the maximum is 55 years. The maximum age at maturity is 70 years.

Yearly premium: The premium rates below apply to yearly premiums.
Half-yearly premium: Yearly premium × 0.525
Quarterly premium: Yearly premium × 0.275
